TELL ’EM / THE GROUND RULES

Good stories. Clear ground rules.

Tell ’Em is for recreational stories, shared responsibly. Here’s what belongs here—and what doesn’t.

Last updated October 10, 2026 · Version 2026-10-10
Service operator: Tell'Em

01 / ACCEPTABLE USE

The stories we’re here for.

Tell ’Em is an entertainment service for recreational stories about golf, fishing, hunting, pickleball, and bowling. Stories must actually relate to one of these activities; choosing an allowed label does not make unrelated content acceptable.

We will decline stories outside these genres and stories that violate these rules. A sports or outdoor theme does not override the restrictions below.

What does not belong here

  • Fabricated alibis, evidence, testimony, or claims intended for police, courts, insurers, employers, or other consequential decisions.
  • Fraud, scams, financial deception, or attempts to mislead someone about identity, consent, safety, or material facts.
  • Threats, harassment, hateful abuse, exploitation, or unlawful acts—including unlawful hunting or fishing.
  • Impersonating a real person without permission, exposing private information, or uploading content you have no right to use.
  • Medical, legal, financial, relationship-cover, or other unrelated stories presented as recreational activity stories.

02 / STORY REVIEW

Saved is not approved.

New and edited stories enter review. Hosts can approve or decline a story and give a reason. Stories awaiting review or marked declined are not eligible for service. At least one approved story and a host-ready request are required before the site displays a member call-room link.

Review is performed by a person; category validation does not automatically understand or fact-check story content. We may refuse or withdraw approval when content is outside our genres or violates these rules. Approval is not a verification that a story is true or lawful.

If declined, you can edit and resubmit, delete the story, or contact support about the decision. Editing an approved story requires review again. A decline does not automatically cancel your subscription or generate a refund.

03 / USER RESPONSIBILITY

You choose what you share.

You are responsible for the stories you submit, the permissions needed to use them, your conduct, and how you use any output or interaction. Do not represent Tell ’Em, a host, or a future generated voice as an independent witness to real-world events.

Use the service lawfully, protect your private profile link, and respect other people’s rights. You grant permission to store, review, and use your submitted content to operate the service for you. See Privacy for current data practices.

04 / LIABILITY & SERVICE LIMITS

Entertainment has limits.

The service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, accuracy of user stories, acceptance of a submission, or that another person will believe a story. AI calling and voice previews are currently in development; saving preferences is not a promise that these features are available.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Tell ’Em and its operator disclaim liability for losses or consequences arising from user-provided stories, users’ misuse of the service, or unauthorized representations made by users. Users remain responsible for their own conduct.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable protections concerning gross negligence, intentional misconduct, or statutory rights. These terms are subject to applicable law.

05 / MEMBERSHIP & CONTACT

Clear about the commitment.

The current demo collects no payment. Completing it creates a simulated membership for exploring the site. Paid cancellation stops renewal at the end of the current billing period; demo cancellation takes effect immediately.

Cancellation keeps your profile, stories, and voice settings active and editable. It does not automatically refund prior payments. Contact support about payment errors, refund requests, review decisions, or deletion requests. Applicable refund and consumer rights remain in place.

We may update these terms as the service changes. The version accepted at signup is recorded. Contact us through Support.
